Retention Windows
- Guild settings, whitelist roles, toproles, and log channel configuration are retained for as long as Warden is in the guild.
- Case history (punishments, expirations, revocations) is retained indefinitely as an immutable audit trail.
- Punishment events (issue, DM result, expire, revoke) follow the same retention as the parent case.
- Private user tags are retained until removed by staff. Removed tags are marked inactive but kept for audit purposes.
- Moderator shift records and shift events are retained indefinitely for staff activity reporting.
When Warden Leaves a Guild
If Warden is removed from your server, its configuration remains in the database in case you re-invite it later. You can request full deletion at any time (see below).
Requesting Deletion
Server owners can request full deletion of their guild's data through the HQ Server. Warden will verify ownership via Discord before executing the request. Deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.
Individual Records
Individual users may request review or removal of tags or shift records that concern them. Case records are retained for audit reasons except where retention is prohibited by law.
Backups
Database backups are retained on a rolling window. Deleted data may persist in encrypted backup snapshots until the backup rotation cycles out, typically within 30 days.
